Ako nisi, prictaj Man Without a Country. Odlicna zbirka najboljih tekstova koji se uglavnom bave Amerikom, politikom i klimom.
jeboga, Bobe, sta da ti kazem. nije bio glup ovaj kurt. kad sam bio u americi on je vazio za velikog mudraca i undergradsi su besno chainmailovali njegove reci.
sta se meni cini jezivo nije toliko to sto on kaze, a ni to o psihopatama (sto prvi put citam od njega, a jako je dobro), nego da sve to nikako da nadje kriticku masu ljudi koji bih to shvatili ozbiljno. east coast, pre svega fakulteti, svi klimaju glavom, ali nekako ostane na tome. na klimanju glavom. isto je sa inconvenient truth, bovlanjem za kolumbinom i slicnim stvarima, koje su - pazi - napravljene sa direct purpose da adresiraju masu, tj ne samo za phds i intelektualnu elitu. ali njet. njemozmo mi to. ide donekle - reality shows, sa ratom i terorizmom te nesrecama ala virg tech je to sto mozak moze da primi. pa da se ljuti i oseca kao zrtva. ostalo jednostavno ne. kognitivna disonanca i tako.
ala mislim o nekoj od tih tema. pa u nekom trenu osetih da je nesto jako neprijatno sto viri ispod svesti, pa jos neprijatnije to, da bih ja morao nesto da ucinim, pa sta bi to znacilo, pa sta sam vec sve zajebo', pa onda brzo potisnem te se radije ljutim na koreanca sa pistoljem ili ahmeda sa bombom koji napada slobodu i americki san. eh, nije bush toliko pogresio kad tera enduring freedom, jeli?
bojim se da je drugi neuropath, kriticniji, nesto sto je preopasno za individualce - naprimer u us je big thing coming clean ako si gay - i vec to je nesto sto ljudi radije ne naprave. a cela kultura je vise manje politicki korektna, pa ima ceo network za takve stvari. tako da je jedino sto treba da se napravi - a istovremeno i najbolnije da se razumemo, nije to mala stvar - da se nosi sa emotivnom nuklearkom koju priznanje trigerira kod bitnih ljudi.
e, sada, ako je to nesto sto je toliko-tesko-da-ja-radije-ne-bih pa vecina ostaje u klozetu, ili u chatrooms, drkajuci, kako se moze ocekivati da ce neko pogledati u dinamiku o kojoj - istina da na kolektivnom nivou, ali to pocne kod pojedinca - ovisi cela kultura, cak i sudbina sveta, if you wish?
mislim da ima nade, ali na duzi rok. what s fucked is that we re running out of time. verovatno prvi put u istoriji.
